So basically this blog has been infiltrated by some mysterious “third party” that’s somehow managed to install ads on my blog. This was done against my will and I’m not even getting money for it, motherfuckers. I was thinking it could be something like my stat tracker but I’ve been using that for at least half a year so I don’t know why ads would mysteriously pop up now because of that. I saw that the ads came from this company called Text Enhance and I contacted them but never received a reply. ASSHOLES!!!!

It sounds petty but I love this blog because it’s a collection of all kinds of shit that’s interested me from the last year and a half. But I cannot deal with these fucking ads! I’m pretty outraged that some asshole company installed ads on a blog that’s mainly personal and hardly visited by anyone, without anyone’s fucking consent!! Exclamation points!!!

So I’ve decided to change the name of this blog and make a new one with the usual name. If you actually follow me because you like what I post (in other words you don’t just follow me because my internet-famous sister recommended my blog) please follow me there.

This Is All Kinds Of Wrong of the Day: In 1991, Troy Davis was convicted of murdering off-duty policeman Mark MacPhail in parking lot in Savannah, Georgia, and sentenced to die.

As no physical evidence connected Davis to the crime, and a murder weapon was never found, the conviction was entirely based on the testimony of nine witnesses, seven of whom have since recanted all or part of sworn statements.

Several of the witnesses said they were pressured by police officers to place the blame on Davis, while ten new witnesses have since come forward to say Sylvester “Redd” Coles — the man who reported Davis to the cops — was the real murderer.

Despite a slew of doubts concerning his guilty, Davis is on course to be executed Wednesday night at 7 PM by lethal injection. The Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles today denied his request for clemency, even after hearing from a juror in Davis’s trial who said the verdict could no longer be trusted.

A last-ditch effort to prevent Davis — who has had three previous stays of executions — from being put to death is underway, but many fear Davis’s legal avenues have unjustly reached a dead end.

US actor Danny Glover, who plans an epic next year on Haitian independence hero Toussaint-Louverture, said he slaved to raise funds for the movie because financiers complained there were no white heroes.

“Producers said ‘It’s a nice project, a great project… where are the white heroes?’” he told the press during a stay in Paris this month for a seminar on film.

“I couldn’t get the money here, I couldn’t get the money in Britain. I went to everybody. You wouldn’t believe the number of producers based in Europe, and in the States, that I went to,” he said.

Weird, I can also see the ads on other computers, and I’ve noticed that when you go to the URL of individual posts the ads don’t show up… ARGH damn you Tumblr!

Can someone tell me why I have ads in the text of the post just below this one? If you go on my actual blog you’ll see there are links made of some of the words in the text, like the word “faces” leads to a wrinkle remover ad… wtf?!

Edit: on this post too! I’m sad. If Tumblr is going to force me to have ads I’m not posting anymore. argh :(

People should open doors for each other regardless of gender and be polite and kind regardless of gender, not because they think a gender is weaker or less capable, which is where Chivalry gets its roots.

The 32-year-old gunman who killed 77 people on July 22 even wrote in his online manifesto that “refined people like him should wear brands like Lacoste”.

But his choice of clothes has been described as a “nightmare” for the French company’s exclusive image.

Norwegian daily Dagbladet said bosses had now written to Oslo police demanding 32-year-old Breivik be stopped from wearing their garments.

An Oslo police spokesman told the paper: “The company feels that such a man sporting their clothes could do considerable harm to their reputation.”

I ugly laughed at this because just a few weeks ago, Greenpeace released their annual report on toxic water pollution in China, specifically, how clothing manufacturers, Lacoste’s main supplier and producer of their garments being one of them, are releasing hazardous chemicals in the water. These chemicals are highly contaminant and contain hormone disrupting properties affecting local populations and factory workers alike.

Of course Lacoste is horrified that such a notable symptom of dehumanization, embodied by Breivik would be associated with their brand, hurting their reputation. By the looks of it, they are more keen on less visible, more low key forms of destruction.
